The Nicon Luxury Hotel in Garki Abuja, owned by business mogul,
Barrister Jimoh Ibrahim, earlier today witnessed a mild drama as a group
of protesters occupied its premises to protest nonpayment for goods and
services they rendered.
The protesters chose a very auspicious day to stage their
demonstration as they arrived early in the morning when the hotel was
hosting a significant international conference. The group who were under
the auspices “NICON LUXURY HOTEl SUPPLIERS”, said the proprietor owes
them unpaid debt dating as far back as 2004.
This is coming a few months after the embattled businessman faced a
similar protest by staff of the defunct Air Nigeria, operated by him,
when they staged demonstrations over their illegal sack and non-payment
of salaries.
