Victorious Buhari Thanks Supporters, Preaches Against Wild Celebrations

 Ahead of his formal declaration as President elect of Nigeria, APC Presidential candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari has expressed  gratitude to Nigerians for choosing him and his party over and above the PDP and their candidate, the incumbent President, Dr Jonathan Goodluck.

 The APC declared victory party after Dr Jonathan called General Buhari at 5:15pm to make a concession and congratulate the winner. Director Media and Publicity of the APC Presidential Campaign Council Garba Shehu quoted Buhari as saying that the mood of the country as well as its current state did not warrant the type of wild celebrations reportedly going on in some cities across the country.

 Buhari said anybody happy with the victory of the APC in the presidential election will not be involved in the molestation of opponents or the destruction of their property.
“He or she is not with me, whoever does that,” Buhari curtly said.
He is due to make a major acceptance speech in the coming hours.

Wow! President Jonathan Reportedly Calls Buhari To Congratulate Him On His Victory

 According to Debola Williams and Chude Jideonwo who work with Gen. Buhari claim GEJ has called to congratulate Buhari over the election results.

 The commission will reconvene around 8pm to give us the result for the last state remaining - Borno, but as it stands, it looks like Nigeria now has a new president. It will be made official shortly.

The representative of the Peoples Democratic Party at the Presidential Collation Centre, Mr. Godday Orubebe(below) has accused the chairman of Independent National Electoral Commission, Prof. Attaihiru Jega of bias over his failure to investigate the party protest letter on the election in Kano, Katsina, Jigawa.He is causing serious disruption in the presentation of results.

Updates!!! After counting 19 states, APC is now leading- INEC

INEC has released the results for 19 states and as it stands now, APC is leading in the presidential race.
The APC won 10 states, while PDP has 8 states plus the FCT, Abuja. INEC will resume results presentation tomorrow by 10am. It seems it will take forever to deliver the results for the 36 states in Nigeria as INEC hasn't offer any tangible reason why the election results for the remaining states are been delayed.

So far APC is leading with 8,520,436 votes while PDP has 6,488,210 votes.

 The presidential election results for 18 states & the FCT has so far been announced. In total, APC have won 10 states, while the PDP 8 states, plus the FCT, Abuja. 

So far APC is leading with 8,520,436 votes while PDP has 6,488,210 votes.

 The election result announcement has ended for today. The commission has reconvened till tomorow March 31st, by 10am.
